Graphic Design
Project Overview
In 2024 I decided to go after something that I had seen for a while. When we explain concepts it is often done using a medium that the content creator is most comfortable in. But it's often not the best. What if you could interact with an interactive system, instead of reading about it?
My Approach
I started off by trying to distill concepts into single scene. It took a bit to wrap my head around the idea of advanced interactive exploration this allowed me to craft, but it's something that grew on me.

Used Technology:
- pen and lots of paper for sketches
- phaser.js for building scenes and the systems
Light and Shadow
Light and shadows is another one of these ideas that we have spent pages and pages explaining it. But it's a lot more fun seeing what happens when you drag the sun across the sky, the planets around the sun, or two light sources in a collection of objects.

Gestalt Theory
Our brain constantly looks for ways to make sense of the world around us. One of the ways it does this is by looking if some smaller parts can be connected into a larger pattern. Like dots that are arranged in a way that make us see a shape. In Graphic Design we use this to communicate multiple ideas at the same time. This is a direct link to the scene
The Flock
Flocking behavior is something that looks pretty intuitive but takes a surprising amount of words when we try to capture it in text. So I figures let's go back to showing people how this behaviour shapes up in an interactive simulation. You can't change the basics of flocking, but you can make the flock scatter by clicking in their middle and watch them reassemble.
